Part 4 of the famous ‘Escape/Chase/Saying Goodbye’ scene and cue – most probably the best 15 minutes of film scoring ever. The marriage between Spielberg’s images and John Williams’ music on screen is so perfect that it is impossible to imagine one without the other. The score was the fourth in history, and third by Williams (after Jaws and Star Wars) to win the Oscar, Golden Globe, Grammy, and BAFTA.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, and starring Henry Thomas, Peter Coyote, Drew Barrymore, Robert MacNaughton and Dee Wallace. Music, of course, by John Williams.
