Player Objectives System -#8 Creating A Survival Horror (Unreal Engine 4)



This is episode 8 of our series going over how we can create a survival horror game using Unreal Engine 4 from scratch. We’ll be going over how to create various mechanics built around the game.

Today we look at how we can create a simple player objectives system, showing you how to dynamically change and display it on your player’s screen.

We do this by create a content binding on our HUD that is tied to a variable for the mission text in the player character blueprint. We then reference and change this throughout our level.
